Social tennis
rotation planner

One scheduler for named court assignments and configured blank worksheets. Timed social rotations are deterministic, without a promise of optimality or a complete round robin.

Filled schedules support 2–32 singles participants or 4–32 doubles participants and 1–8 available courts. Levels/rankings are information only; pairings are not skill-balanced.

Maximize fills as many courts as players can occupy. Include rest rounds uses one fewer court when everyone would otherwise play, provided at least one complete court remains. Surplus players rest in either mode.

The range is inclusive: 1–4 means four courts; 3–10 means eight. All available labels are kept; spare courts are marked unused. Doubles needs four players per active court; singles needs two.

Durations are elapsed time: 01:10 = one hour ten minutes; 00:10 = ten minutes. Start time is a clock time.

Time to move courts, collect balls and prepare for the next round.

Complete rounds and honest rests

The session fits complete playing rounds plus breaks only between them. Playing/resting totals refer to round minutes; every participant also has the shared breaks, shown separately. Unused time is not counted as playing time.

Example

Six 10-minute rounds plus five 2-minute breaks equals 70 minutes. Starting at 18:00 finishes play at 19:10. At midnight, the schedule identifies the next calendar day. Use event-local clock times; verify daylight-saving transitions separately.

The bounded heuristic prioritizes participation and reduces repeat partners/opponents where feasible. It reports the actual participation spread and repeats. It does not choose training activities: use the practice planner for drills.
