Understand scoring
Tennis tiebreak calculator:
who serves next?
A score alone is not enough to determine the server. Enter the service-order context as well as the points.
Serving half is not the court end
Deuce means the right serving half and ad means the left, viewed towards the net by the server. Physical ends are the two ends of the court. This helper cannot name a physical end without knowing where players started and whether all earlier changes were made. It reports the standard change boundaries instead.
Example
In a 7-point tiebreak at 3–3, with A serving first, B serves point 7 from the deuce half. Six points have finished, so change physical ends if you have not already done so. After a completed set tiebreak, B starts the next set, regardless of who won.
A completed 10-point match tiebreak ends the match, so there is no next set. Doubles calculations use the explicit four-player service order supplied above. Alternative first-point/four-point end changes and retrospective error corrections are not calculated.
